Hey, remember all those shiny Pokémon I showed you guys that I spend years collecting and was super proud of? Here they are, courtesy of the asshole dog down the street that I used to sit for, as of last November or so.
(Oh, he got my Diamond too, so whatever was on that is gone as well. I've got a second-hand Pearl now.)
So, bought a second-hand Y cartridge, bought a new AlphaSapphire cartridge, dusted myself off and climbed back onto the horse. Got the obligatory shiny event Gengar, got the obligatory shiny event Beldum (which is now the obligatory shiny event Metagross), blazed through AS, worked on re-completing Y (still in progress) and started working my way back up. Then I found an old, forgotten box in Pokémon Bank with some formerly-spare shinies in it (naturally, they have since been promoted). All in all I am now back up to 21 unique shiny Pokémon. (22 if you include the fateful encounter Pichu that never left my SoulSilver cartridge.)
Chain fishing, combined with secret tiles that contain 100% Feebas at certain times of day, are as rewarding as ever.
I've been playing with the Hoenn remakes' new DexNav: the jury seems to be out on whether you build up shiny chance by chaining encounters or whether each DexNav encounter is a static 1/512 like X and Y's Friend Safari.
Oh, and did you know the Eon Ticket's back, and it's actually borderline conceivable that you'll be able to get one this time?
Of course, Old-Hoenn had to get in on the action, too.
At this point I'm getting ready to reset for other legendaries in AlphaSapphire, and working on a rebooted gallery post.
ANYWAY THAT'S WHAT'S UP WITH ME, HOW YOU DOIN'
